Today I got in about 1.5 hours of writing. Yay! I worked for half the time on the conference proposal, and the other half on a paper that is very close to submission. The paper is about how teachers make sense of their organizational context (standards, accountability) as well as student engagement in making changes to their instruction. I spent some time addressing comments sent by a colleague who was willing to give it a read.
Today I worked on one of my AERA papers (a self study with another colleague on social justice and hybrid/online pedagogies) to edit the paper according to the discussant's feedback. I need to add to the literature review and develop the discussion more substantively, which I will be working on over the next few weeks. My goal is to submit this paper to "Studying Teacher Education" (the journal of the Self Study AERA SIG) sometime in the next 2 months.
Caught up on the weekend....well got two hours in - reading and editing a short draft of a tailgate history paper my co-author and I are giving at a conference later this month.
