I'm sitting in my office working on my writing today. I'm re-reading field notes from a 3 year research project in preparation for writing the same article I've been discussing. My co-writer for one paper couldn't make a meeting last week, leaving me lots of time to rethink the focus of our collaboration.
I read an article about whiteness, the Confederate flag, and tailgating at the U of Mississippi (7-7:30pm). Progress seems so slow, but I can say that these last two weeks I've been closer to this research than I've been in months.
I'm finally back from the intensity of the conference and doing a little writing/research. Today I skimmed several articles about teacher retention to try to figure out the best statistical model to run on our data (to determine whether there is a relationship between professional development participation and retention). Worked on that for about two hours.

ReplyDeleteThat's great! I find reading and writing about it to be verrrry slow. But enlightening!

DeleteWhat is your research? The article sounds interesting.
