Packed schedule today - so up early to complete my 30 minutes (6:00-6:30am). Reread our book's chapter 4 (tailgating as performative masculinity) - and started to rework the narrative. The original chapter was based on an article we published in 2013, so I'm starting to identity the spaces in the text where we can expand on earlier ideas or introduce new ones.
A boring task today- putting together the references for the introduction to a social-justice themed special issue of 'Impacting Practice' (8:45-9:25). I'm waiting on a coauthor to add a few paragraphs and then we will edit later today and submit to the journal. I also did get some writing in this weekend- I finished my text for the issue intro and edited the intro, methods, and findings of a literature review on professional development experiences for teachers of English learners (ELs). The latter is an invited submission that will be part of a forthcoming special issue of the Educational Forum.
I worked on the methodology book chapter - 20 mins in morning and 30 mins now in early evening. I read through the 6 paragraphs and made notes of what was covered in this earlier introduction to methodology (presented in intro book chapter) so that I can proceed with organizing and editing what to present in methods. Did some work on Chicago style with endnotes.
